What really holds your moves back

Six blockers every HR team knows.

You're handling the mobility policy, the budget, procurement, the manager and the employee all at once. Here is what gets stuck, and what we change.

01

The budget that slips

Hidden agency fees, unexpected guarantees, extra hotel nights: finance discovers the real cost after the fact.

Our answer: Published prices per employee, a written proposal within 24 hours to raise your purchase order, and every fee requested from the employee checked.

02

Supplier onboarding that's too heavy

For three or four arrivals a year, a master agreement with a large group means weeks of procurement, legal and negotiation.

Our answer: A simple proposal, one assignment per employee. Start with a single arrival, no minimum volume.

03

A start date that won't move

The employee starts on the 1st but still has no home. Temporary housing drags on, and so does your budget.

Our answer: A search launched before arrival, across the whole market and our network: usually less than a month to a signed lease.

04

HR turned into a concierge service

The employee calls HR about the lease, the bank, the NIE, the children's school. Your team can't do its actual job.

Our answer: We become their direct contact, in English, French or Spanish, on WhatsApp. Your HR team no longer handles the day-to-day.

05

A family that doesn't settle

An isolated partner, children without a school: that's often where an assignment starts to falter, months after arrival.

Our answer: Schools, neighbourhood, paperwork for the whole family: settling the family is part of the assignment, not an option.

06

A market your employee doesn't know

Language, agency habits, extra guarantees: up against local applicants, their file often comes last.

Our answer: We deal and negotiate in Spanish with agencies and landlords, and present a complete, reassuring application.

Large group or local partner?

The administrative framework

Moving to Spain: what your HR team needs to anticipate.

The key steps of settling in Madrid, and what we take care of for you.

General information. Visas, work permits and social security registration are the employer's and its advisers' responsibility: we take over for the settling-in.

NIE and registration certificate+

EU citizens staying more than three months register on the EU citizens' register and obtain their NIE. Appointment booking, forms, support: we take care of it.

Padrón+

Town hall registration is required for many procedures, including enrolling children at school and accessing health services.

Bank account and contracts+

Opening an account, setting up electricity, gas and internet: simple on paper, slow without an NIE or a local contact.

Schools+

For state schools, visits take place in February and applications in March. For a mid-year arrival, plan ahead, especially for international schools.

Tax regime for inbound workers+

Spain's special tax regime for inbound workers, known as the “Beckham law”, may apply to some employees. Review it with your tax adviser before arrival.
